Devlog: Actual Progression, Multi-Core Support, and Save Wipes (Sorry!)

Hi there! Thanks for checking out the newest version. Today’s update finally brings real progression into the game instead of just testing commands and seeing numbers go up.

You can now unlock up to four different servers, each with their own Cycles process. Every server feels like its own little workstation, and you can actually start stacking them to get some real production going. On top of that, I added the ability to buy extra cores so you aren’t stuck running only one process at a time. The cost ramps up pretty quickly, so it still feels like something you have to work for.

There were a lot of deep structural changes under the hood. This update added saving and loading for UI colors, node states, process generation, core counts, core costs, and a ton of internal data that needed to be tracked correctly. Because of that, I had to invalidate old saves. This is going to happen a lot at this early stage while I’m wiring up the foundation of the game. I know it’s annoying, but it keeps everything clean while I experiment with new systems.

If you have any ideas, cool theme suggestions, or thoughts on where you think the progression should go next, I would genuinely love to hear them. Drop a comment and let me know what direction you think this game should take.

Thanks again for playing.
